The Ontario Rett Syndrome Association is one of the top funding sources for Rett syndrome research within the non-for-profit sector in Canada. Since 2008 ORSA has awarded over $500,000 in research grants. The intent of the Ontario Rett Syndrome Association’s Research Grant Program is to identify and fund professionals who are committed to conducting novel, emerging or innovative research in areas relevant to the cure, cause, prevention, improved treatment and/or understanding of Rett syndrome and its implications on society. The entire funding amount of each past research grant was raised through donations and fundraising activities.
