Clinical Trials

A Pilot Study of an Antioxidant Cocktail vs. Placebo in the Treatment of Children and Adolescents With Rett Syndrome

Canada’s first Rett syndrome clinical trial is expected to be recruiting soon. The single site study will be taking place at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto, ON. The goal is to test a combination of specific antioxidants known to enhance mitochondrial function to see if it provides benefits to Rett syndrome patients. The 16 week study is broken into two periods where participants will receive either placebo or the drug, thus all participants will be on the drug at one point during the study.
