We would like to thank everyone for supporting the “10th Annual Silent Angel Golf Day” held on Saturday June 21, 2014 at The Willows Golf and Country Club.
The first day of summer was the perfect day for our golfers to hit the course.
We made sure they were equipped for the weather with sunscreen donated by Shoppers Drug Mart and colourful Silent Angel Golf Day sunglasses.
The golfers enjoyed refreshments donated by Costco, snacks from Kellogg’s and lunch provided by Maple Leaf Foods.
The live auction was highlighted with bids on a beautiful handcrafted pine chest donated by Colin Bain and a Travel Voucher donated by VIA Rail.
The Silent Auction was competitive as usual with the most action on the Skil Power Tools donated by Charles Jones Industrial Ltd. and Coach Aviator sunglasses, donated by Victoria Park Optometry.
Our Golf Day was very successful and we are very grateful for the support of all our participants, sponsors and the many donors.

With the joint effort of our volunteers, Linda Wilson, Debbie Heffler and Shari Hamelin, our fun energetic golfers, sponsor s and donors, we raised over $10,000.00!
We were happy to have Ashley Rowe and Steve Frost join us to celebrate our 10th Annual as well as remember the reason Cathy Forster, Jill Rowe and myself organized our first Golf Day. We began this journey to raise money for a bed for our Brianna. Ten years later we are honouring the memory of Brianna and continuing to raise funds to support the Ontario Rett Syndrome Association with their initiatives of improving the life for all girls and women with Rett.
Shari Hamelin, O.R.S.A. Vice President presented Lisa Taylor and Debra Maher from Scotiabank, Simcoe with The Ontario Rett Syndrome Association Spirit Award for their years of support to our Silent Angel Golf Day. The Spirit Award is presented in recognition of a significant contribution in raising awareness for Rett syndrome through a combination of years served, as a member, fundraiser and generous supporter.
Not only has Lisa and Debra been supporters and participants of the Silent Angel Golf Day, they have become a big part of our Rett Family.
We look forward to the 11th Annual Silent Angel Golf Day on Saturday June 13, 2015.
