Do I have to pay a registration fee for both the communication/literacy workshop and the conference?
Some people may want to attend the communication/literacy workshop only so they will need to purchase a workshop registration fee. Some people will want to attend the conference only so they will purchase a conference registration fee. Some people will want to attend both the workshop and the conference so they will pay the registration fee for both.
Does the registration fee for the workshop or the conference cover one parent, both parents or the entire family?
Every person must pay one registration fee.
Does each parent within a family have to purchase a 2016 membership in order to get the members workshop/conference rate?
No, only one membership is required per family household.
Does a conference attendee need to purchase a banquet ticket?
No, it is included in the conference registration fee.
Can two people share a registration fee?
No, each person needs to pay for their own registration in order to attend the workshop and/or conference.
Can my child/children attend the workshop and/or conference?
Unfortunately, no, in order to respect every attendee’s right to hear the speakers, it is requested all children enjoy the hotel’s pool or activities in the City of Ottawa.
Can my child with Rett syndrome attend the workshop/conference?
Unfortunately, no, in order to respect every attendee’s right to hear the speakers, it is requested all children and adults with Rett syndrome enjoy the hotel’s pool or activities in the City of Ottawa.
Do I need to purchase a banquet ticket for my child with Rett syndrome?
No, your child’s meal is complimentary but you do need to complete the questions on the registration form.
Did you know that it costs over $435.00 for each attendee who attends the workshop and the conference?
The Ontario Rett Syndrome Association realizes it can be difficult for some families to have the funds to attend the Rising Towards Tomorrow conference. Therefore, O.R.S.A. is proud to subsidize the cost of each attendee by at least $235.00. Supporting families is an essential service O.R.S.A. provides.
