The Ontario Rett Syndrome Association is very proud of our financial stability. Here are a few highlights from our 2015 Audited Financial Statements.
Since 2010, there has been a 113% increase in O.R.S.A. revenue. This is a result of a significant increase in Fundraising & Contribution Income.
In 2015, O.R.S.A. was able to raise 10 times the Fundraising Income for every $1 in Fundraising Expenses and it was the highest amount of revenue raised in Fundraising in O.R.S.A.’s 25 year history.
O.R.S.A. is a volunteer Board of Directors and will always incur Administration Expenses, however, in 2015 we were able to give back 68% of expenses to the families by providing funding for Regional Clinics, Conferences and Workshops and various Educational and Service information including the launch of the Canadian Rett Syndrome Registry.
In 2015, O.R.S.A. was able to reduce our administration costs by 15%, while providing our members with conferences, workshops and the Canadian Rett Syndrome Registry.
Canada Revenue Agency has recommended that all charities provide a line to their site so that the public can ensure that the charity has not been suspended as well as to view information about that charity, including financial filings. Find us on Canadian Revenue’s website. Once into the site, please click on “Canadian Registered Charities” and then “Search our online list of registered charities”. Simply enter ‘Ontario Rett Syndrome Association’ in the “name box”.
